Curriculum mapping
Letting apprentices earn a degree while they learn the trade
For Foothill College’s apprenticeship team, Katie mapped four union apprenticeship curricula to general education requirements, so apprentices can earn an associate degree at the same time as they complete their apprenticeship.
She also worked with the Loyd E. Williams Pipe Trades Training Center to review its plumbing curriculum against Associate of Science degree requirements, work described in the plumbing degree pathway case study.
